We are pleased to introduce our new flute grinding wheels for heavy stock removal applications
(1A1, 3A1, …) featuring our newly developed bonding systems ScoGrind RMP and RMPG. These
grinding wheels are specifically designed for machining drilling and milling tools. Discover the
advantages of our new grinding wheel bonds and optimize your grinding processes.
For the standard tool sector, the RMP3 and RMPG4 grinding wheel families have proven especially
effective. They represent our latest premium solution for high performance flute grinding of carbide
and shank tools, achieving maximum productivity increases. Both provide significantly improved profile
retention compared to all previous specifications, as grinding forces have been substantially reduced,
along with an enhanced grinding quality (surface finish in the flute). This has resulted in an even better
balance between free-cutting behavior and edge stability.
For the mini and micro tool sector, highly edge-stable bond systems are required—such as those from the
RMP(G)5 families. The combination of excellent free-cutting behavior and good profile stability allows for
cost-efficient flute grinding with high feed rates. At the same time, these grinding wheels can be profiled
on process machines (profile grinding).
